USAAC LTS Open
LTS is 'open' to all pilots. Its NOT a squad event. It is fast paced, quick, action packed, and normally about 1 hour duration. A very fast 1 hour!
Date/Day
Every Wednesday like clockwork. You can book it Danno...
START TIME
Game starts promptly 2100 Wash DC Time. (9PM)
The event starts on time .. moves quickly and ends on time. This has been proven and is now a given. No War waits .. :) With this discipline pilots can PLAN their time for Wed Eve and know how long it will go. Put it on your schedule boys ... Wed 2100 or 9 PM Wash DC Time
Game Staff
There is a Game Manager that is recruited from game sponsor squads prior to the event. Ref's and SysOps are arranged for prior to the Event. All AA and USAAC rules, CoC, and ToS is in force. The Game Manger is the ultimate decision manager for and during game play.
Player Stats
Player stats are NOT affected for this event. Your rank, etc will not be affected. This is done with purpose in mind and to allow the players to have fun while not giving worries about 'rank'.
Rules:
Rules are pretty simply and not difficult to understand. The basic and most important rules are broadcast via coms. Before the game starts, between rounds, and halves the rules are broadcast. Warnings for rule infractions are given constantly, if appropriate during game play. Even late arrivals can pick up on the rules easily.
- Altitude -10k Feet or 3048 Meters max.
- Map Limit - 1 square. You cannot exceed 1 square from any camp.
- Avoidance - Pilot cannot avoid the main action by hiding in a corner of the map or flying low over their camp to avoid detection.
- KIA - Once a pilot takes off from the runway upon the 'scramble' order, he/she cannot take off again. If a pilots is shot down, crashes or is ordered to crash .. they are dead and cannot continue for that round. Pilots must stay on the runway with engines 'off'. EXCEPTION: If you crash on take off for any reason within the first 30 seconds of the scramble order, pilot may take off again. This happens occasionally when pilots collide on take off. Game Manager may also make an exception if warranted. Pilots need to ASK if in any doubt.
- Teams/Camps - The Game Manger makes the decision of Teams and Camps. Normally SU and GE camps are used. Upon a players arrival within the arena they may pick their camp initially. Game Manage will advise pilots who need to switch camps. Once you are assigned to a camp .. that is your team. You may not change teams, sides, camps with out Game Manager approval. There is no need to leave the game between halves or after a round is over .. simply return to your camp via landing or crash.
- ROUNDS - There are 8 rounds played with a half time break of 5 minutes. One minute break between rounds. No change of teams is made within a half, so the pilots fly the same team for 4 rounds before the break. As each round goes by, it is interesting to note the strategies changes and the individual that pair up and the 'team' leadership that develops. If anything, for fun, the pilots are forced to 'work as a team" ... hot-dogs go down quickly. The number of rounds is dynamic officially , the Game Manger will decide the number of rounds before the half ends. If there is no notice otherwise, rounds are preset at 4 per half. The Game Manger may extend or shorten the number or rounds. Pilots participation may dictate his actions.
- Aircraft - ALL planes are available for all sides. This eliminates any problem with pilots not having whatever aircraft thy are best in .. and eliminates the weakness or advantage of any given Camps Air Craft Stock.
- AA - Anti Aircraft is OFF. Pilots that try to use AA for a saving move or avoidance .. not a good idea :)
- Pilots may not 'runway' or otherwise attack another base's assets. You may only fire at opposition in the air.
- Runway and misbehavior. Pilots may not 'runway' or otherwise attack another base's assets. You may only fire at opposition in the air. Other rules that are not noted here are addressed by the Game Manger during play. Pilots that misbehave during game play are subject to USAAC bans and disciplines.
Lets have some fun at LTS!
If anyone has questions or comments concerning these rules and LTS, please make an appropriate post topic on the USAAC forums.
